Thanks to everyone who has written or called recently! After writing about our transition to full-time consulting in last month's newsletter, many of you sent along your wishes for our success. We're very grateful for your support!

This summer has been full of really exciting projects. In Seattle, we finished up a series of Mentoring Resource Center Technical Assistance Conferences for which I was asked to provide a closing keynote and had the chance to work with many great youth mentoring programs in my sustainability and diversity workshops.

Over the coming months, we'll be providing on-site technical assistance and training to thirteen mentoring programs; and offering several one-day "Trainings By Request" to mentoring grantees of the Department of Education.

We also spent time in Bedford County, PA working on an exciting community-wide effort to expand the resources available for meeting the needs of youth and families. We conducted focus groups, provided training, and sparked critical dialogue.

We conducted diversity training in Camp Hill, PA; assessed a key partner in a new Compassion Capital- funded project to enrich the work of the Baltimore Homeless Youth Initiative; and keynoted a conference in Detroit for Mentor Michigan.

We also began a new long-term international project in Serbia as a consultant for the Institute for Sustainable Communities' USAID-funded "Civil Society Advocacy Initiative (CSAI)." This new project builds upon the successful relationship that exists between ISC's Macedonia program and Common Ground.

Also while in Serbia, Common Ground confirmed that with support from the U.S. Department of State, we will once again be providing leadership to the planning of the International Summer School to Stop AIDS (ISSSA), which will takes place in Serbia. We'll be the primary architects for the curriculum and educational aspects of this 11-year old school.

In Bruges, Belgium two weeks ago, Common Ground conducted a three-day Training of Trainers for members of the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG).
